If you’re looking to have your wedding reception in Edinburgh you really are spoilt for choice. There are a whole variety of stunning venues you can hire to hold your wedding reception that can suit all budgets. There are everything from the four and five star hotels like the Balmoral Hotel with it’s stunning Sir Walter Scott Suite to the Caledonian Hotel at the other end of Princes St. If you are a member of the armed forces you could of course get

married in Edinburgh Castle. You can even have your wedding at Edinburgh Zoo. Finding a good quality mobile disco and wedding Dj to provide the entertainment is easy now you have found your way here !
Edinburgh benefits from lots and lots of venues and has beautiful landmarks like Edinburgh Castle, Princes St Gardens, The Observatory on Calton Hill and The Scott Monument. Edinburgh also has lots of beautiful parks for taking wedding photos. Arthurs seat and Hollyrood Park provide panoramic views over Edinburgh.

On the outskirts of Edinburgh you also have some amazing wedding venues like Hopetoun House, Dundas Castle, Melville Castle and Dalhousie Castle to name just a few. Over the years I’ve played in all of these venues as a wedding Dj.
Edinburgh also has lots of very impressive halls that you can hire for a wedding. Surgeon’s hall, The Royal College of Physicians are two of my favourites and The Assembly Rooms on George Street.
Edinburgh is famous for its festival that takes place in August and I think this is a great time to have your wedding in Edinburgh. With lots of incredible shows from all over the world coming to the festival there really is something for everyone. I would strongly advise booking your venue and accommodation very early as it’s a very busy time of year and accommodation gets booked up very quickly.
The other huge attraction in Edinburgh in August is the world renowned Edinburgh Military Tattoo. I’ve personally been over eight times and look forward to it every year. Tickets go quickly but if you need a ticket I can usually get you one through a friend of mine. I remember getting tickets for a lovely bride and groom from Holland who were desperate to go the Tattoo but couldn’t get tickets. They were so happy when my friend helped them to get some.
Edinburgh also has its world famous Forth Rail Bridge, I’ve seen lots of brides having their wedding photos taken here.

Edinburgh nightlife is also very good with lots of top class restaurants and bars that you and your guests can visit. There are also some excellent guided tours like Witchery Tour which takes you into the depths of ” The Old Town”
With two train stations in the city centre and an airport on the outskirts, Edinburgh is well served with transport links. It also has 3 motorways close by, the M9, M90 and M8.
I think over the last 42 years I’ve worked in most of Edinburgh’s venues which gives me a huge amount of local knowledge. If you have any questions about Edinburgh or about weddings or discos please contact me through my website contact page.
