The Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry is my favourite wedding venue in Scotland.
When I first started doing discos back in 1976 I lived only a few miles away in Aberfeldy and The Atholl Palace was a venue I always liked going to as a Dj.
The Atholl Palace has two function rooms, The Atholl Suite which is a circular design and has a really big dance floor and a very large stage
The video below shows you the beautiful Atholl Suite..
The other function room is The Bow Lounge which is part of the main hotel which is beautiful and is a rectangular shape with a nice high roof.
The video below shows you the lovely Bow Lounge.
Both the function rooms are beautiful and are ground floor and easy access for entertainers. The Atholl Suite is the easier of the two as you can pull up right outside the doors and the stage is only 20ft away. I really like the roof and pillars in The Atholl Suite as they look amazing when lit by uplighting and a colour wash. It really brings out my creative side.
Both function rooms at The Atholl Palace are perfect for weddings with larger weddings being held in The Atholl Suite. Its huge dance floor is ideal if you want to do ceilidh dances as there is lots of room for you to have several sets of people.
The Atholl Palace is situated high on a hill overlooking the Tay Valley and can be seen easily from the main road the A9.
The Atholl Palace has beautiful gardens and tennis courts plus a spa and lots of bedrooms.
The food here is superb and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Tomasz the Polish function manager is very friendly and efficient and you’ll take an immediate liking to him. On my last visit I even got him to join in with some ceilidh dancing as we were one person short in one of the sets. He duly obliged and was a very good ceilidh dancer!
Every time I’ve been to this venuel I’ve enjoyed entertaining there. It had a definite wow factor for the guests with its castle type appearance and stunning views.
