31/08/17. Wedding in Moffat.

Platinum Discos provided the entertainment for my wedding In Moffat Scotland in August 2017.

Ashley the DJ was fantastic and accommodating in every request made by any guest.

He arrived well in time to the venue to set up and ensure that all went smoothly.

A number of our guests commented on how good the DJ was. People in the town were so impressed that they have requested his contact details.

I would recommend platinum discos.

Monday 21/08/17. Wedding Forfar.

Hi Ashley

Thanks very much for being DJ at our wedding on 21st August.You arrived in plenty of time and set up quickly with no fuss. Your selection of 60s,70s and 80s music was spot on and ensured that there was always someone on the floor at all times and the Abba medley was just great. Finishing with Runrig’s version of loch Lomond got all remaining guests on the floor and was the perfect end to a fantastic day. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone who needs a disco.We didn’t get round to doing any karaoke but it was good to have the facility available.

Thank you for showing up early to set up even though the venue wasn’t ready for you for quite some time! I am sorry you had to wait around so long – we came to Scotland from overseas and had never seen the venue before the night of the wedding, so we were unclear on the spatial details and the need to set up for dancing after dinner was concluded.

We were very happy with your performance at our wedding reception and your willingness to even stay later than originally stated in order to give us a good amount of time after a dinner that ran very late into the evening. Our wedding was truly memorable, and we thank you for being a part of it!

Wedding Hexham June 2017.

We chose Ashley through the reviews we had read on need a disco and also his promptness to get back to us, first one to email and first one to ring. Ashley’s service was second to none. We had a wedding party in two teepees for 80 people. His service in the lead up to the wedding and the day itself was impeccable. We had a fantastic wedding disco. I logged onto my account on your website, ( need a disco) which we used to book a DJ for our wedding at Mabie House in Dumfries on 15th April 2017.
I’ve tried to leave feedback for the DJ we used: Ashley from Platinum DJ’s. It won’t give me the option, and we want to ensure that our very positive experience is documented for Ashley and his company.
“Our experience of using Platinum DJ’s, and more specifically our DJ for the evening Ashley, was fantastic. Ashley came in and set up in the room with no issues-and it all looked fantastic. Prior to the event we had been in regular email contact with Ashley, where he made sure that he had all of our music choices, ages of guests and the names of the bridal party. Ashley was really flexible with the times that we had suggested for the evening reception, and the price that we paid for his services was definitely worth the money, and also very reasonable for the service that was provided.
Ashley filmed various parts of the evening for us, in particular our dance off and some of the more entertaining dancers of the evening. Ashley was very friendly and accommodating, and did everything we needed without being prompted. He played all of the songs that we had on our playlist, laced with his own fantastic choice of songs which got everyone up and dancing. Ashley took requests and played them all-even the more obscure songs people chose!
All in all a really fantastic DJ- with a great looking booth, awesome lights, a chilled out, friendly and professional attitude, which really did make our evening reception even more fantastic. Highly recommended and he will definitely be the first person we will contact when we need another DJ! Thank you Ashley ”

Steph’s 21st Birthday 17th June 2017 Duns Rugby Club.

I feel so guilty not getting round to writing you a thank you letter for making stephs party such a success! I have been nagging Steph to write thank you letters for all her presents as I keep telling her a letter is nicer!! She is writing a few every night but I think there are about 100!
Back to the disco thank you again as you did a great job of getting everyone up to dance, all my friends said they really enjoyed the party best night they had out for ages! Stephs friends all seemed to enjoy the night too ,l got a lot of texts on the Sunday saying if was a great night. Steph has been at a good few 21sts since her party but was just saying how good you were! A few people have asked for your name so hopefully this will help your business.

Keith a family friend took 250 photos and the disco and mood lights look fantastic!

Steph was at a 21st on Saturday in Kelso and she was saying how the mood lights made such a difference at our party compared to that one.

60th birthday Ellon Aberdeenshire 03/06/17.

Dougie was great from start to finish,

he keep everyone entertained and always had people on the dance floor.

It was never going to be an easy crowd to keep happy as there was a lot of people from lots of different backgrounds, however he managed perfectly! Everyone was happy and I’ve had feedback from guests that said they had never had a DJ that they actually enjoyed listening too! (this came from an older gentlemen that you would never expect to like a disco in the first place!)

Would use platinum discos again for any event I was having in the future!!

Ashley DJ’d at a charity fundraiser at our school and he did a fantastic job. He was very professional and extremely accommodating to any requests prior to the event. We only required a DJ for the last hour of the evening but Ashley arrived before any guests did in order to set up and had a very efficient self contained set-up. The light show was particularly impressive and the dance floor was filled for the rest of the evening. We would definitely use Ashley and Platinum Discos again.”

Review – Platinum Disco’s

My original DJ let me down late in the day and Platinum Disco’s stepped in at the last minute for me.

I knew nothing about them other than what was on there website so I was a bit

worried about booking them. I need not have bothered it was quite brilliant!

They promised an amazing set up and they delivered, the stage and round the

room lighting was the best I have ever seen and the disco could not have been better.

Ashley the Dj listened to what I wanted and gave it to the full. I if ever I need a disco again I wouldn’t want anyone else.

After being let down at the very last minute on Saturday morning (14th Jan. 2017) Ashley Duncan of Platinum Discos came to my rescue!

He very kindly rearranged a few things so he could come and play at my partner Brian’s surprise 50th Birthday party.

I had previously booked Ashley for a works night the week before and he went down a storm so when he called me to say he could make it I was absolutely over the moon.

All our guests who attended the party and also the staff at the venue loved his whole set. from the fabulous music, which had everyone up on their feet all night, to the amazing lights and his excellent dj-ing skills.

We are now currently try to see what we can plan next so we can enjoy his company once again!

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Ashley to anyone who is looking for a dj he is the BEST we have ever heard!

The music and lighting experience Platinum Discos supplied has been enjoyed by Dunfermline High School and Woodmill High School for their Christmas Prom for the past 5 years! The best recommendation I can give is that the young people attending enjoy the experience so much they never leave the dance floor!

The lighting and sound setup is up there with any night club and Ash himself is a gifted DJ that reads a room and delivers the music the audience wants. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants a fantastic disco and light show and above all wants to have an event that all the party goers will remember for all the right reasons!

Hi Ashley, It`s a pleasure to write this review for you. Firstly, thank you for travelling such a long distance to the venue and for being set up and prepared before the first guests arrived. I had told you that this was to be a fairly low key event and what was most important was lots of 60s and 70s music and plenty of lighting. You certainly delivered on both fronts! We also requested that the music should’t be so loud that you couldn’t hear the person next to you speaking.Whilst this cant have been easy, you did as requested.

I will certainly recommend you to others and it was a pleasure dealing with you. As the main organiser of this event, I had been concerned that the music would suit the wide age range. You got it absolutely spot on.
