Platinum Discos who are based in Bathgate supply dance floors all over West Lothian and regularly supply our beautiful white led dance floors to hotels in Bathgate, Livingston, Armadale, Broxburn, Uphall, Blackburn, Shotts, Winchburgh, Newbridge, and Bo’ness.
Our dance floors that we hire are British made and not cheap imports. We bought the best as we want the dance floors that you’ve hired from us to stay lit and not split apart. This guarantees you a led dance floor that looks stunning all night and above all is safe.
When we deliver our led dance floors in West Lothian we always bring spare panels and spare power supplies and spare edges. Anything that’s electric can go wrong and on occasion a panel can either not work or one of the 4 channels can go out.
When we lay a floor we do it live, this means if we spot a faulty panel it can be replaced immediately with one of the many spare ones we carry with us. This is far better than finding out after we’ve laid a whole floor that one panel isn’t working and having to unpick every row to get to it and then replace it.
Because we bought a Grumpy Joe’s white led dance floor we can lay the floor live as the power supply switches off if we get a short circuit and doesn’t blow a fuse! When the short is corrected the power is automatically restored.
You maybe think this is a small thing but a short can occur as we are laying the dance floor or while people are dancing on the floor or if someone spills a drink on the floor. So it’s really good to have a floor that only cuts out for a milli second or two until the fault condition goes away.
If you bought a cheap imported floor your lovely dance floor would blow the fuse in the power supply and the led lights would go off in the floor until you changed the fuse in the power supply! A Grumpy Joe’s dance floor is the most expensive to buy but when it comes to customer satisfaction it’s money well spent.
We will have three White LED dance floors available to hire in 2019. Due to the huge demand we had last year we’ve needed to buy a third floor for this year.

Led Dance floor hire is a complex business, we might make it look easy when you see us laying a floor. We’re very quick at laying either a 16ft or 20ft floor. Both are usually easily laid within an hour.
The things you don’t see behind the scenes are the polishing, buffing, stripping and cleaning of the floor. This can take several hours if the dance floor is particularly dirty.
The loading of the dance floor up and down an aluminium ramp is hard as dance floors are not light. The 20ft floor weighs 685Kg without the flight cases! It must be around 800 Kgs in the cases.
The dance floor has to be loaded, then unloaded at the venue, then laid, then picked up, put back in its cases and then put back in the van. When we get back to our base in Bathgate we then have to unload it into our storage unit. After a day of laying dance floors you ache from head to toe and sleep well!
The biggest problems we get when we deliver dance floors are upstairs venues and guests standing in doorways leading to the function room.
If you want your dance floor laid quickly please encourage your guests to go into the allocated room while the function room is being turned around. The last thing we want to do is to run over someone’s toes with a very heavy flight case full of dance floor panels and guests standing in doorways slows us down and delays the start time of your evening reception. The function staff will also be happy as they have a lot to do too and every second counts at room turnaround.
Upstairs venues are not good for delivering a dance floor unless there is a working lift. Some venues we would decline delivering a dance floor to due to poor access. We have a list of a few venues all over Scotland that we won’t provide dance floor hire to.
Booking a led dance floor hire from us couldn’t be simpler. Send us an email saying you’d like to hire a white led dance floor and if you know the size let us know. If your unsure about the size of floor you need, Dont worry. We will find this out if we don’t know the venue already. We keep a log of every venue we’ve provided dance floor hire to with the sizes, access, contact details etc.
Once we know what size of dance floor you want to hire we will send you a quote by email. Once you agree to hire the dance floor we will send you deposit details and a form which you should send us after the deposit has been paid.
You’ll then get an email confirmation and that’s you booked in. Our new deposit checklists also ask you for all the information about your dance floor hire such as venue details, access times and your contact details.
